1 Utama Shopping Centre Announced That One Staff Tested Positive Covid-19

Looks like coronavirus cases in malls have not ended yet. Just today (5th October 2020),1 Utama Shopping Centre announced that one of the staff was tested positive Covid-19 recently. Doing the right thing, the mall immediately came out with an announcement on their Facebook page to inform patrons and calm the situation.

The Staff Has Not Been In Work Since 1st October

Said in the post, the patient works as an outlet staff at Mac City Service Centre. Thankfully the staff has never stepped foot in the mall after clocking out from work on 30th September. After tracing his entry points to the mall and Mac City Service Centre, the mall confirmed that his temperature then was below 37.5 Celcius. Furthermore, he is now under the care of a government hospital.

First Isolated Covid-19 Case In 1 Utama

At the moment, the mall has yet to receive official notification from the Health Authorities. However, they still took the proper precautionary steps according to the MOH guidelines. The other staff working in the same outlet are put in quarantine, immediate closure of the shop, and the mall was thoroughly sanitized.

Advising The Public To Stay Calm

Meanwhile, the mall urged the public to stay calm and adhere to the new norm SOP’s. Public health safety is a collective responsibility and everyone should continue taking good care of their well-being to keep each other safe.
