2. Shimokita Space

What appears like a vintage thrift store is actually a hidden gem that’s not only unique, but doubles as a café. At this one-of-a-kind spot, you can peruse racks of curated clothing while tucking into a burgers and fries!

If you love upscale pastries and coffee, this is the place for you. Located inside a Japanese “random goods store”, One Half or simply OH is where shopping meets dining. While slightly on the pricier side, they have a great variety of fresh pastries including canelé that’s worth your buck.

In another eccentric concept, this café is tucked in The Gasket Alley, home to several restaurants and cafés. Just like its name, this café is absolutely cute and special. It’s located in The ZhongShan building, which in itself is where you go for artsy finds. Though small, Piu Piu Piu still manages to create a nostalgic environment especially once you sit outside, where it’s reminiscent of school days.
