Today has been no shortage of jokes and pranks. International and local eateries have similarly jumped on the bandwagon to announce outrageous news on new food items and merch. Similarly, one of our favourite tea brand made an announcement that it was ending its brand, and netizens are torn about it!
BaWangChaJi Announces It’s The End Of Its Brand
In a shocking announcement earlier today, BaWangChaJi Malaysia has announced that “BaWangChaJi had to come to an end” and thanked everyone for their support.
While many netizens came flooding with comments of how they’ll miss the brand, many also caught on to the timing of the announcement. Being April Fool’s day, naturally many didn’t buy the idea of it. Well, BaWangChaJi will cease to exist in Malaysia starting from tomorrow.
The brand will be renamed to CHAGEE 霸王茶姬 starting from April 2, tomorrow onwards! In a subsequent post later today, they’ve released a statement on their total rebranding. From a change of name to change of look as well, it’s all done to “better reflects the brand that they are building”.
