Malaysian Coach Helps His Students Overcome The MCO Struggles

The 43-year-old Taekwondo coach from Tsun Jin High School had taken over Black Ice dessert shop at Cheras Leisure Mall when it was being sold off due to the MCO. He said that since the pandemic, his students (assistant coaches) weren’t able to hold Taekwondo classes as per normal. Some of these students depended on the classes as a way of earning a living too.

In order for his students to have an alternative source of income during the ongoing pandemic, Mr. Kum then took over the business. By doing so, he also wishes he’s able to continue being a guidance for his students. And instead of looking high and low for a job now, at least his students have a stable job now.

Black Ice is a local brand that has been operating since 2018 and specialises in signature Taiwanese desserts and beverage. Using only handmade ingredients like their chewy taro balls and boba, everything on their menu definitely looks good! You can even find a wide array of snacks and finger food such as waffles, crispy chicken and so much more here.
