A Hands-On Culinary Experience
The exclusive launch event featured live demonstrations across four specialty stations, each highlighting how Blue Band Professional Cream performs in real kitchen environments. Overseen by Flora Food Group’s Technical Chef Ben Chua, each dish from dairy-free buttermilk chicken to chocolate mouse highlighted the incredible versatility of Blue Band Cream.
The “Flora Restaurant” station showcased the cream’s heat stability in savoury dishes like pastas, soups, and sauces, where it neither separated nor left a greasy aftertaste.
Over at the “Flora Bakery” station, guests witnessed its superior whipping capabilities in desserts like chocolate mousse and onde-onde cupcakes. It reached stiff peaks quickly—within approximately two minutes—and held its structure effortlessly, remaining stable for hours without deflating.
Chefs at the “Innovation Kitchen” explored creative uses with the product, including a vegan yoghurt and a shrimp, dill, and citrus cream canapé, demonstrating the cream’s versatility and ability to hold unique textures and flavours without curdling or breaking.
At the final stop, the baristas at the cafe station showcased the cream as a milk substitute in light roast acidic lattes and tropical milkshakes, where its stability resulted in a long-lasting foam and latte art without any curdling from acidic ingredients.
The event also featured a testimonial from Nor Arieni Adriena, founder of Gula Cakery, who shared her experience using Blue Band Cream in her culinary creations.
The celebration concluded with a lucky draw, where attendees had the chance to win Ramadan buffet vouchers. The grand prize—a brand new iPad—went to a culinary student from Kolej KAGC.
