We’ve gradually grown accustomed to consuming a ton of unhealthy meals as we rush around the hustle and bustle of city life, especially with new food trends appearing daily. From time to time, stepping away to reconnect with nature while enjoying healthy food is the best thing for us and there’s an interesting place in Pulau Meranti, Puchong that helps us do just that.
Bug’s Paradise Farm Serves Fresh Vegetarian/Vegan Meals At New Food Market
Opened in 2020, Bug’s Paradise Farm was born in hopes to encourage people to live the organic way. Their concept is certainly one-of-a-kind where anyone from kids to adults can visit for a guided organic farm tour, followed by a healthy farm-to-table vegetarian steamboat.
Farm Tour + Steamboat Package
The farm experience is led by a young and passionate farmer Zhan Hui (KangKung Lou) who, in detail, combs through the benefits of organic farming while teaching the audience how gardening is rightfully done. During the tour, you’d be able to hold live earthworms, learn how to make compost, try fresh watercress (kangkung) and plant your own vegetables!
In addition to that, there’s a mini animal farm where adorable creatures reside.
The tour package includes a steamboat that contains fresh produce from their farm, along with tofu, enoki and more! The steamboat also comes with a side of noodles and/or egg (optional) for a complete meal. Alternatively, you may enjoy the steamboat without the farm tour with five types of soup bases – kimchi, kombu, miso, oat milk, or black pepper.
Food Market
Recently added to their premises is a new weekend-only vegetarian/vegan food market! Here you can indulge in burgers, pizzas, Malaysian food and even oat milk bubble tea. The current stalls are:
1. Veco Burger
Using plant-based patties only, Veco is all about quirky flavour combinations while helping the environment! Who says burgers are only delicious with meat? Can’t relate.
Black Pepper Beetroot: Harvest Gourmet patty, black pepper sauce, pickled beetroot, tomato, green vege placed within a sweet potato bun
Fishy Cucumber: “fish” patty, green vege, vegan mayo, cucumber radish & hash brown encased in a sweet potato bun
There are 3 vegan mayo flavours available: Original Vegan Mayo, Roasted Sesame, and Korean Sweet & Spicy Mayo. They’re the first vegan mayo made from oat milk!
2. Yooky Bites
Brick Oven sourdough pizza? Why yes please! Made from organic and natural ingredients, Yooky Bites makes vegan pizza accessible to everyone without forgoing taste. They used an organic pumpkin sourdough base for all four of their pizzas, adding a slight yet delectable sweetness to every bite.
Teriyaki Soy Chicken Mushroom
Yooky Bites also have a vegan cake stall! They’ve managed to bake yummy and moist eggless cakes that are absolutely irresistible. There’s a great selection to choose from, especially for a post-meal delight.

3. Oat Story
Whether you’re vegan, lactose-intolerant, or simply crave a delicious milky drink, Oat Story will have just what you’re looking for. Here you can find coffee, konjac bubble tea made with oat milk, and fizzy beverages too!

Bug’s Paradise Farm Organic Market
Last but not least, there’s an organic market selling fresh vegetables and fruits! They’re reasonably-priced which allows for people to eat well without hurting their pockets too.

At the very front of Bug’s Paradise Farm is BMS Organics store where you may purchase a variety of organic products including food, supplements, vitamins and more. There are eighteen health formula products available as well, formulated by their very own nutritionist.
