COVID-19: Malaysia Records New High as Daily Cases Exceed 6,000

BREAKING: Malaysia registered another record of new high as of today (19 May 2021) as COVID-19 cases spiked to over 6,000 daily infections even though the country is placed under MCO 3.0.

Malaysia Sees New Daily Record as COVID-19 Cases Spiked to Over 6,000:

Today, Malaysia registered 6,075 new cases, a shocking spike from yesterday, which recorded 4,865 cases. The country has been placed under Movement Control Order (MCO) 3.0 from May 12 until June 7.

Different from previous MCO, the implementation of this movement restriction allow all economic sectors to operate.

According to data presented by the Ministry of Health, Selangor tops the chart with 2,251 cases recorded as of today.

The country’s cumulative Covid-19 infections mark a total of 485,496 cases since officials started tallying the data in January last year.
