De Maketto Is A New IG-Worthy Grocer With Bearbricks & Kaws Figurines
Ten years ago, the founder of De Maketto had an ambition to be one of the top retailers amongst prominent foreign companies in Malaysia. The lightbulb moment came to him last year, when he chanced upon his partner who was keen on an online grocery platform. Together, they formed De Maketto Supermarket, a neighbourhood-friendly grocer with its own online platform.
What separates De Maketto from other supermarkets is its stylish and comfortable environment. For a new customer shopping experience, the spacious grocer spans across 14,000 sq ft filled with eight life-sized Bearbricks & Kaws figurines.
Customers may pose and snap photos around the supermarket with every corner being absolutely Instagrammable.
But that’s not all! At De Maketto, there are more than 10,000 SKUs, from live aquarium fishes, to organic produce, imported products from all over the world, and more! Plus, their products and goods are all at reasonable and competitive prices, albeit premium.

Fresh local & imported produce can also be found at De Maketto as well as an organic section.

Just like any supermarket, they have a variety of frozen staples including a meatless range. There are even frozen whole cakes available here, along with delicious local & imported ice creams.

In addition to an array of fresh meat (both halal & non-halal), they have frozen steak & wagyu beef too!
Of course, there are also whole sections for beverages & dairy, cooking sauces & canned food, oil & rice, toiletries, pet supplies and healthcare.

De Maketto also runs different contests every month, with great prizes to be won (customers may check their FB page for more info)! There’s also a weekend market with produce at a cheaper price than wet markets.
As for parking, customers may park outside the building (Sqwhere) or in the indoor parking lot, where the main entrance of De Maketto is located.
