Looking for a new coffee spot to freshen up your usual routine? KL is home to, as we might say, countless cafes and restaurants. We’ve recently chanced upon this cafe nestled in the heart of the bustling city that has a pool in the courtyard. It’s called Kafe Kleptokrat, has a vintage vibe serving a selection of brunch menu, including the century-old Cottle Coffee, that was founded by Richard Cottle, in Australia.
Kafe Kleptokrat is a Charming Vintage Cafe Where You Can Chill by The Pool:
Just a stone’s throw away from Chinatown is Kafe Kleptokrat. The owner has successfully restored and converted this century old shophouse into a Melbourne inspired cafe. Much of its old accents remain untouched, creating this old-meets-new charm.
Besides its rustic, vintage ambience, what impressed us most at the cafe was the fact that it has a pool in the courtyard. One can certainly chill and have a cuppa by the pool, imagine how relaxing that is?!
Kafe Klepokrat offers an extensive menu, ranging from Australian brunch to local-inspired dishes. Both Big Breakfast and Nasi Lemak left us in awe. Not only do they look great on your social media feed, the taste also hits all the right spots.
Do not, we repeat, DO NOT miss out their coffee selections, especially their Cottle Coffee. This type of coffee originates from Australia, and their traditional blend roast is over 100 years old. Not forgetting their coffee beans are also roasted and imported from Melbourne, Victoria.
If you’re a fan of sourdough, Kafe Kleptokrat is the place to be. They have a range of sourdough dishes in their menu, and some are “today’s specials.” All in all, this cafe is definitely worth a few visits, the ambience itself won our hearts over.
