  • You can still order your favourites from other The Owls Cafe outlets – Bukit Jalil & Mytown or PJ

Another day, another sad news from the local F&B scene. For the past few weeks, we’ve been continuously seeing a number of eateries closing down, mainly due to the ongoing pandemic. Sadly, here’s another two to add to the list of cafes permanently closing down.

Little Rimba Cafe & The Owl Cafe Permanently Shuts Down

Opened back in 2018, Little Rimba quickly became a crowd-favourite spot for many. Located in the quiet neighbourhood of TTDI, KL, it was known for its instagrammable space of colourful murals, minimalistic decor and of course, its soul-warming Malaysian comfort food. It was also included in our top cafes to visit back in 2018.

Little Rimba has announced on their Instagram on Friday that they will be permanently closing their doors effective immediately. Sadly, they had not been operating since the beginning of MCO in January 2021. Many patrons have even left comments asking when Little Rimba would reopen, but only to be welcomed with sad news of its permanent closure.

Besides its unforgettable space, many comments from past patrons have poured in, reminiscing on Little Rimba’s signature comfort food. From Laksa Johor and Lontong to Ice Kacang, flavours that many regular customers will miss dearly.

In similar news, it was also announced on The Owls social media pages that it will be permanently closing its One Space outlet in Subang Jaya after 30th June 2021. A go-to spot for many in Subang for their delicious waffles and pastas, it’s time to bid farewell to this space. However, you can still order from other The Owls outlets in Bukit Jalil, MyTown and PJ.
