It’s 2021, a brand new year, yet we’re back to square one. With the implementation of MCO 2.0 beginning from 13 January until 26 January 2021. Many sectors are once again affected, when they have yet to fully recover from the previous loss. The pandemic hits hard on the retail industry and gets highlighted when a Malaysian captured the scenes of empty shopping malls in KL.
Malaysian Captured Stunning Photos of Empty Shopping Malls in KL During MCO 2.0:
Let’s be real, shopping malls in KL are never empty. Yet these photos captured by this talented Malaysian photographer, Siva Kumar showed the empty scenes of once bustling malls like Publika, Pavilion KL and Suria KLCC. These malls are one of the busiest and most prominent in KL.
The drastic changes really showed how the pandemic has severely impacted the industry. Not just retail, but the economy of our country in general. Not to mention our healthcare system is at a breaking point.
Foodies, what are your thoughts when you see these photos? Kudos to Siva Kumar for taking these shots in such an aesthetic way. These photos do spread a message in the most beautiful way.
Our hearts go out to everyone, and let us all do our part in curbing the pandemic. We urge everyone to stay home and only head out for necessities. With that being said, stay home, stay safe and buh bye!
