With just 8 years in the industry, this steakhouse has racked up quite the stupendous array of achievements. They’ve won Excellence in Western Steakhouse in the Malaysia International Business Awards 2017, SME’s Best Brand in F&B Steakhouse 2017-2018, and Masterclass Brand of the Year – F&B in the Global Leadership Award 2019. With that in mind, it is our absolute pleasure to introduce to you Me’nate Steak Hub, which brings you a unique concept of letting you choose your Wagyu beef and its other meats!
Me’nate Steak Hub & It’s Innovative Concept
At Me’nate Steak Hub, they do it quite differently from the usual steakhouses that you’re likely used to. The convention goes — point your finger at the menu… and that’s it. Sometimes, you’ll be pleasantly surprised when the staff asks you “and how would you like it done, sir?” You tell them medium-rare, before feeling a surge of disappointment half an hour later when the steak comes to you well-done.
At Me’nate Steak Hub, however, there’s no such nonsense. In fact, they put in a whole extra mile when it comes to serving you steak. Not only will you be able to choose the doneness of your steak (and actually have it accurately reflect your order), but you’ll be able to physically choose your cut right out of their chiller.
Friendly staff will even approach you and recommend their best cuts to you, as well as mention a few of the best ways to have them cooked. In fact, you can either have your cut of meat there and then, or brought home to be cooked over your own loving fire. Be it lamb, chicken, or the plethora of different types of beef available, they’re all chilled (not frozen, which improves the freshness of meats but makes their shelf lifespan shorter), vacuum-packed, and most importantly, Halal-certified!
Now, Let’s Talk About Their Big, Thick Meats
Steak — who (besides pescatarians and non-meat eaters) could possibly deny its goodness? Between the sweet, juicy marbling of the premium Wagyu beef to the tender, aromatic succulence of a lamb’s ribs, you’ll definitely crave for some every now and then.
Me’nate let’s you choose a whole host of things when it comes to their steaks. In fact, it’s so extensive that it warrants an actual list:
- Type of Meat (Beef: Wagyu, Black Angus, Grain Fed, Grass Fed, US Corn Fed Angus, Dry Aged, Wet Aged; and Lamb)
- Which part of the animal it comes from (Striploin, Ribeye, Tenderloin, Tomahawk, T-Bone, Short Ribs, Oyster Blades, etc.)
- The quality of meat (S.Premium Ribeye, or just Ribeye)
- The degree of doneness of your cut
Here are some of the steaks that we had for ourselves!
1. Wagyu Steak
Renown for the abundance of marbling that networks across each cut, its oily nature taps on our innate desire for umami. Personally, I love medium-rare, as its succulence is one that cannot be beaten by anything in the world.
2. BBQ Beef Ribs
It’s so tender that the bone slides right off the slab of meat!
3. BBQ Lamb Ribs
If you prefer lamb over beef (or can’t eat beef at all), do not let this one slide under your nose!
It’s Not All Just About Steak, Though!
Me’nate Steak Hub has a whole new world of other goodies for us foodies on their menu! Pastas, burgers, seabass, sides, pizza, chickens, desserts, starters, and so many more for any and all to enjoy. Naturally, we ordered a few of these for ourselves, too. Despite this not being the main highlight of the steakhouse, it got each and every thumbs we could give from KL Foodie sticking upwards to the skies.
1. Mamma Mia Beef Carbonara
Specially recommended by their chef, Mamma Mia Beef Carbonara is for those who just absolutely need a helping of cheese and carbs served on a plate for the day.
2. Spaghetti Bolognese
For those who want the carbohydrates, but with no strings attached.
3. Roasted Chicken
For any who find that red meat tastes too gamey, Chicken Chop is a good option. It’s a safe bet, as my dad would always say. There’s only one degree of doneness to it, so it’ll always be well-done!
4. Creme Brulee
Top it all off with a serving of dessert, sweet and sugary to give you that satisfied bliss as you walk out of the restaurant.
