Original Kayu Penang Nasi Kandar Now Has Robot Servers
Who would have thought that you would be able to have a robot waiter serving you your food and drinks at a mamak? Original Penang Kayu Nasi Kandar is where you’ll see it. They recently introduce robot servers in March at their premises to minimise physical contact. You can currently find them at Original Penang Kayu Nasi Kandar SS2 and Citta Mall outlets! Besides, you can also expect more outlets to have it soon in the coming months.
The robot servers will be sending food and drinks to you and are programmed to serve up to three tables at once! Even though it’s convenient, there are certainly challenges from it too, especially the space needed for the robots to roam around. Also, the robot waiters won’t be used during peak hours as it will get in the way of customers and other food servers.

Alright, this may not be the only restaurant that has robot servers in the vicinity, some have even started introducing it late last year!
