The Largest Mall In Malaysia Set To Open In August 2022
Phase 2 of IOI City Mall will officially be opened to the public on 25th August 2022. Located at IOI Resort City, the mall will be a go-to for nearby townships like Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, Kajang, Bangi, Sepang, Puchong and Seri Kembangan. There will be over 200 eateries opening as well, from the likes of Kenny Hills Coffee, Bife Charcoal Steakhouse and Din by Din Tai Fung. Besides, shoppers is welcomed to an addition of more than 300 retail outlets, and over 700 retail outlets in total at IOI City Mall.
Aside from retail shops, there will also be a brand new indoor edutainment exhibition space – IOI City Farm. The 18,000 sq ft. ‘indoor farm’ concept sets to bring outdoor experience indoors, with three different zones for visitor to interact and learn more than 70 species of plants, adorable animals and fishes.
The Phase 2 of IOI City Mal will also feature new IOI Grand Exhibition and Convention Centre, a 40,000 sq ft. pillar-less hall with state-of-the-art facilities. Meanwhile, sports fans can look forward to the IOI Sports Centre – the only world-class sports facility of its kind within the vicinity of Putrajaya. The new rooftop sports centre will boast a total of 15 badminton courts and two covered futsal arenas!
While there’s a lot to look forward to in Phase 2, you’ll be glad to know that there are plenty of amazing attractions in IOI City Mall itself. Skate away in Icescape Ice Rink, the biggest ice-skating rink in Malaysia recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records. Or have an exciting adventure at District 21, a 52,000 sq ft. indoor atrium adventure theme park incorporating various attractions!
Are You Excited For This?
While we do have a handful of shopping malls in the city, many are still elated for IOI City Mall to open fully, especially when it is set to the largest mall in the country! There will be yet another place for families and couples to hang out now.
