October is more than just spooks and horror, but it’s also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Similarly, it is a cause that we hold close to our hearts. To raise public awareness on the matter, Signature Market launched their 5th Breast Cancer Awareness event – Stand Tall, Darling! Art body painting wowed the crowd while pink flamingos flooded the venue. Read on to find out what really went down and there may be a *hint hint* surprise for everyone at the end!
Stand Tall, Darling! – An Ode To Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Women (and men) from all walks of life attended the event, advocating for the awareness on breast cancer as well as women empowerment. With that, many of them were dressed according to the pink theme. Meanwhile, local celebrities and influencers joined in to support the cause as well. Malaysian supermodel Amber Chia were one of the many familiar faces at the event!
Activities included networking sessions and education on early detection and treatments for breast cancer. Furthermore, there was a motivational talk on the importance of building self-confidence.
(Body) Art Speaks Louder Than Words
However, one of the event highlights was the unique yet captivating Body Art Painting showcase. Four different models were painted on by artists and presented to the audience. Subsequently, each masterpiece unveils powerful messages of independence, compassion, bravery and positivity in every woman. The unconventional method of promoting awareness to breast cancer was certainly a crowd favourite of the day.
Pretty in Pink Flamingo
Look at how gorgeous those flamingo tote bags look! The tote bags and best-selling Superfood Trail Mix were given out to event-attendees as well.
