Top 10 Restaurants To Eat In SkyAvenue

There are so many OG restaurants and cafes in Genting Grand area including Genting Palace for Chinese dishes, Coffee Terrace for their amazing buffet, and The Bakery for hot chocolate and cakes.  But today, we are going to be talking about SkyAvenue because there are so many eateries poppin’ in every corner! So, let’s find some places to feast, shall we?

Started all the way in London, and now they are here! We are so lucky because they don’t have many restaurants out of London and there’s one right here. When it started, many people went all the way up to Genting just to have a bite. What do they serve? Take a bite of The B&L Burger, a combination of beef, and lobster with tarragon, and truffle sauce. Or, you have their Canadian lobsters, served either steamed or grilled with lemon, and garlic butter! When you’re done, remember to take a photo with their iconic Burger & Lobster signage.

2. Beauty In The Pot

Located at the roof of Sky Avenue, Beauty In The Pot has a view of Genting Grand, the brand new cable car, and the currently building Fox Studios. The super pink and fabulous looking restaurant provides outdoor and indoor places to sit. Beauty In The Pot believes that healthy food is equivalent to good health, that’s why they make nourishing soup bases, including their well-known Beauty Collagen Broth and Spicy Nourishing Broth. Like many good steamboats, there’s array of ingredients for you to choose from! Cold weather, and steamboat? Yes, please!

3. Cafes Richard

Be transported to Paris when you step into Cafe Richard. The French-themed restaurant is the centerpiece of Sky Avenue with its flower-like structure and optical illusion flooring. The Parisian cafe serves authentic espressos, original coffees, and teas, as well as French food. If you are feeling fancy, there are fancy concoctions of coffee cocktails and tea cocktails that are infused with local ingredients such as Bentong ginger. But, of course, the highlight of the cafe is their French pastries like macaroons that served in the cutest presentations ever!

4. Motorino

Perhaps if French food isn’t your thing, try for Italian instead! Who doesn’t love a good, and warm pizza? The restaurant with checkered flooring, green walls, and a large oven where they cook their pizzas serves pastas, and meatballs, too! Have a taste of the world Neapolitan Pizza. You can get your pizzas crazy hot when they cooked it in the wood-fired oven at 800 to 900 degrees Fahrenheit. The best part of Motorino is that they do delivery to your hotel room and Genting Bowl. Play bowling and chew on pizzas sounds like perfection!

5. La Fiesta

It sounds like a party already! La Fiesta makes you feel fancy with arched pillars and teardrop shaped lights. You can try one of the finest hams in the world, Iberico Ham, right here. Fun fact, the Iberico pig produces one of the best pork and cured hams you can find in the world.

Some other dishes you need to try are Lobster Paella, a mixture of lobster, and Spanish rice, Churros Rellenos, a sweet ending of churros filled with Nutella! Ah, ah, ah, don’t step in with slippers because this place has a dress code of semi-casual!

6. Din Tai Fung

Time for some authentic Chinese food! If you looking to relish some good Chinese food 6000 feet above sea level, Din Tai Fung is the place to be. The spacious restaurant serves noodles, fried rice, side dishes, vegetables, and Xiao Long Baos!

Their signature dish, Xiao Long Baos, are soup dumplings with pork meat. Other choices include crab roe, truffle, and chicken. It is definitely one of the best things to eat in the cold weather. Imagine as you bite the dumplings and warm soup fills up your mouth. Heaven!

7. DC Superheroes Cafe

This one is for the kids! The cafe is decorated with everything from DC, from top to bottom. There’s even Superman and Batman ushering you in! Not only the cafe is decorated with everything from DC, so are the food. You can order a Superman lunch box, it comes with burgers (stamped with Superman’s logo, duh!) and fries.

To complete your meal, you can order coffee (stamped with Batman’s logo, which appears to look like you’re calling for Batman). A bonus, the cafe is filled with memorabilia of DC Superheroes. Unleash your inner geek here!

8. Powerplant

Powerplant is a combination of Korean restaurant and bar. The black-themed restaurant is located in the al fresco area of SkyAvenue! That’s right, you can enjoy your hot and spicy chicken wings, and Soju in the cold weather.

There are many other things to look forward to trying in Powerplant including cheesy garlic shrimp and meatloaf rice, sambal chicken wings, and black pepper porkbone soup! Oh, how can we forget? There’s live band music too! Time to unwind for the weekend!

9. Malaysian Food Street

Looking at Malaysian Food Street, you will think that you have time traveled back into the 1980s. There are heritage windows above the stalls with silhouettes of people, table and chairs that mimics kopitiam’s settings, and tin robots in shelves! You’ll find anything you want to eat here from hor fun soup with steamed chicken, char koay teow, laksa, and everything else in between.  Just a little reminder that you are in Genting, so don’t be surprised at the prices of their dishes. However, the portioning is big!

10. Medan Selera

If you are craving for nasi lemak, and ayam rendang, head over to Medan Selera. It is a little bit hidden as it is located in the basement of SkyAvenue. Medan Selera makes you feel like you are in a canteen. You need to get the food from the stalls and pay it at a check-out counter.

They offer a variety of things to eat including rice dishes, noodles, snacks, and covers cuisines inspired by Western, Asian and Middle-Eastern cooking. The prices at Medan Selera are almost similar to Malaysian Food Street, so don’t be alarmed!
