Umameat Is Now At Bukit Damansara:
Steak lovers might not be a stranger to Umameat. The restaurant has been praised by many for serving some of the best steaks in KL for years. Now that they’ve been relocated to Plaza Damansara, peeps in Damansara will get a chance to savour their juicy steaks in their signature Umameat sauce.
Unlike its previous location with a fancy setup, the new outlet boasts a modern retro vibe. Its mashup of modern and vintage decors feels more welcoming and humble. Their entire menu remains unchanged, preserving the old recipes and flavours that frequent customers are familiar with.
One thing that makes Umameat stand out from the rest, is that their meats get a nice char and smoke from the special Josper Oven. Known for being one of the best ovens in the industry – Umameat uses Mangrove wood to impart its distinct smokiness into its meats.
If we had to pick only one dish from their entire menu, no doubt it will be their signature Steak Café De Paris. There are only a handful of places that serve this dish. The grilled Striploin beef is lightly seasoned to preserve its best flavour, served in sauce made with butter, fresh herbs and anchovies.
Another must-try dish is their famous Umameat Beef Wraps. Sliced Australian Topside beef gets wrapped around carrots and french beans. Then pan-fried and braised in cheddar cheese and soya sauce. While it might look unassuming, try this dish out for yourself, you’ll be amazed.
