Things may be slowly opening up in the Klang Valley but certainly things will never be the same as before. If you have visited your go-to night markets lately, then you may have noticed that not all your favourite stalls are there. Just like this beloved pandan apam balik stall that is helmed by an elderly couple.
This Pandan Apam Balik Has Finally Started Selling Online
A stall that had long queues before the pandemic, this pandan apam balik easily made a name for itself with its fragrantly thick and chewy peanut filled pancake. Grandpa Liew has been manning his stall with his wife since 1999 and have graced several morning or night markets in Kepong, Cheras and Ampang. However, the 74-year-old had to stop his business due to the current situation as it was fairly unsafe for him, especially with his age.
Thankfully, Grandpa Liew has finally managed to convert his business from the stalls to online with the help of his grandchildren! Regular patrons who have missed this pandan apam balik can now get a taste of it by ordering online and enjoying at your home, introducing Ye Ye Green Apam!
What makes this pandan apam balik is essentially the special homemade pandan batter made with homegrown pandan! It’s then loaded with crunchy peanuts and sugar to make it the perfect sweet and savoury snack. Honestly, you won’t be able to stop eating once you’ve started.
According to their IG page, you can now choose from their signature Pandan Apam or Pandan Apam With Sweet Corn. You can only get a whole pan, which comes with 12 thick slices for RM24. They are currently only accepting orders from Friday to Monday and delivery days are Wednesday and Friday only. Besides, they are now only accepting orders from Damansara, PJ, Kepong, Subang, Shah Alam, Puchong, Bangsar & areas nearby. Find out how to order here.
