Secret passwords at the door and reservations-only might be new rules for cocktail fanatics. In fact, if Chinatown were a vampire, you’d have to drive a stake through The Deceased to kill it. Go out around Chinatown, and you will most likely end up at this bar. Celebrating 365 days of fright, this namesake bar is a horror-themed bar of your dreams. They have their cocktails quirkily named: Tea of Oblivion, Ouija and Petty Person Beating. Don’t question it, just get one.

10. Château DeCanter

Although it’s been popping up on tourist guides with increasing frequency ever since its establishment last year, Château DeCanter still feels cosy and welcoming than ever- a proper respite from the madness of the buzzing city. Folks throw on their nice pair of jeans, or pairs of good earrings to come here. There’s a whole separate menu devoted to absinthe cocktails, a real vintage drip in-house, and bartenders who know what they’re doing with it all. Brews are tasty, and the non-absinthe drinks shine, too.
