8 Places to Satisfy Your Durian Cravings in KL

It’s Durian season now, and while most of us eat durian fresh from the shell, there are many more creative ways to enjoy the greatness of the “King of Fruits”. Here are 8 places in KL to satisfy your durian cravings.

1. Durian Waffles (& Durian Brulee)

Soft Launch Cafe in Sri Petaling just launched the first ever Musang King Waffle in Malaysia. It’s made with 100% Musang King flesh and charcoal waffles. With a swirl of Gula Melaka on top, you’re bound to be in heaven with the richness of the durian, complimented with the sweetness of the Gula Melaka.

Other than that, they also have a special ‘Durian Brulee’. Golden durian flesh with caramelised sugar on top. Worth a try!

3. Durian Shellout

Seafood and Durian? Not a likely combo but if you want to be adventurous this would be a great experience! The seafood is mixed in with thick and creamy durian sauce made from the flesh (looks like carbonara to me so you can probably trick your brain into thinking it was seafood in creamy carbonara). The end product is something that will blow your mind.
