As a brand that believes in investing in people, Anchor Food Professionals seek to help develop skills for meaningful careers in the future. It is important for the brand to ensure that all they do will translate into a positive impact towards the communities that they’re engaging with, whether it is through their food products or the activities that they champion.

“Learning does not have to be limited to conventional classrooms – and we wanted to spread the joy of new fortune and new opportunities the best way we know how through our #NiuYouNewFortune Chinese New Year Campaign. We hope that these skills that they acquire will be useful for their daily lives and their future career pathways. The workshops are specially curated to be informative and educational for the children so they can learn, and have fun at the same time,” said Peter Quah, Food Service Director of Anchor Food Professionals, Malaysia.

Education and knowledge are both becoming increasingly necessary in current times. Anchor Food Professionals hopes that through this engagement they are able to ignite a generation of food industry professionals who will be able to one day champion what the brand embodies: nutrition and wellness.

“We believe in equipping the communities with better nutritional knowledge and skills that can help them advance in life. Aside from providing every child with culinary skills, they will also be taught about the importance of the nutrients through the food choices that they make. We hope that through this engagement, we can leave behind not just knowledge but also better eating habits among the children,” added Quah.

The workshops, which will run from January till April 2023 will include a cookie decoration session, pastry making and making of hot food such as pasta and soup so that they can learn and master various cooking techniques under the watchful eye of trained professional chefs. Upon completion, the children will receive participation certificates as recognition of their efforts in partaking in the programme.
