List Of FMCO SOPs To Take Note Of

According to Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob in a press conference, below are the economic sectors that are allowed to operate;

  • Food and beverages (included for animals)
  • Health and medical care (including dietary supplements, animal care and veterinary services)
  • Water
  • Energy
  • Security and safety, defence, emergency, welfare and humanitarian assistance
  • Solid waste management and public cleaning and sewerage
  • Transportation (land, water and air)
  • Services and operations of ports, shipyards and airports (including loading, lattice transportation, cargo handling and piloting, and storage or bulk commodity)
  • Communications (including media, telecommunications and internet, post and courier, broadcasting – purpose of news only)
  • Banking, insurance, takaful and capital markets
  • Community credit (mortgage only)
  • E-commerce and information technology
  • Production, distillation, storage, supple and distribution of fuels and lubricants
  • Hotels and accommodations (for purpose of quarantine and isolation only)
  • Critical construction, maintenance and repairs
  • Forestry services (limited to enforcement) and wildlife
  • Logistics (limited to delivery of essential services)

Shopping Malls To Close Except For Several Services (Listed Below)

Commercial distribution services that are allowed to operate;

  • Shopping malls to close except for restaurant and eateries (for takeaway and delivery only), convenience stores, supermarkets and hypermarkets (food, drinks and essential sections only), pharmacies and optical stores
  • Restaurants and eateries
  • Laundry and dry-cleaning
  • Petrol stations
  • Pet stores and pet clinics
  • Optical shops
  • Hardware shops
  • Automotive service shops (repairs and spare parts)
  • E-commerce (all products)

Movement Control For Netizens

Movement control rules and SOPs that apply to all netizens;

  • Essentials (2 pax per car and travel distance limited to 10km from house)
  • Medical emergencies and aid (3 pax per car and travel distance limited to 10km or nearest emergency service)
  • Death and natural disasters (allowed with permission from PDRM)
  • Vaccination appointment (must show proof of appointment date)
  • E-hailing services (2 pax per car including driver)
  • Port and airports allowed
  • Public transport services (allowed but reduced capacity to 50%)
  • Transport of workers (allowed but reduced capacity to 50%)
