In 1971, Uncle Ah Kow from Perak first began operating a small noodle business from his bicycle by going around town. 12 years later, he decided to set up a stall in Medan Selera selling sesame fried chicken, which is now well-known and loved by locals and tourists to this date.

The stall, Gerai Ah Kow, is currently run by his son who uses the original fried chicken recipe from 1983. The clever addition of Horlicks adds to the crispy texture of the fried chicken while the sesame seeds add a nutty crunch!
