Universal Studios Japan (USJ) Set To Reopen With Guidelines In Place

When it comes to thrilling rides at amusement parks, one of the unavoidable scenarios is guests screaming while having fun. But since COVID-19 is still widespread, the Japanese theme parks including USJ have come up with a set of guidelines.

Some of the important guidelines include limiting admission to parks and individual attractions, checking guests’ temperatures at park entrances, and denying admission to those with fevers.

Of course, one more obligatory procedure is that guests must keep their masks on at all times. Then, the guideline proceeds to the management of attractions and includes this:

“Roller coasters and other conveyance-style attractions

Have guests wear masks, and urge them to refrain from shouting/ screaming.”

And, here’s more. It’s not only on thrill rides that guests are to abstain from screaming but for indoor attractions and costumed character shows as well. For a full report, click here.

What Do You Think About This?

This rule is set as we all know that the main way COVID-19 spreads is via droplets. So, with this new guideline in place, we can foresee less interaction among guests and possibly, less fun too. Regardless, it’s best to always keep ourselves safe and abide by the guidelines. What do you think of this new measure? Surely, there are 2 sides to a coin but we reckon, prevention is always better than cure.
