Hey there friends! We’re already marching into the second half of 2020 and it seems like time is just zooming past us. Of course, we spent months dealing with a global pandemic and now, we’re all adapting to Malaysia’s new norm. Back then, we all know how some Malaysian leaders took the wheel and navigate our country during times of crisis. As such, this Malaysian muralist has decided to show his gratitude to our nation’s heroes. He painted a mural with their portraits on it!
A Mural In Selangor Dedicated To Malaysia’s Heroes
Suhaimi Ali, is from Terengganu and he’s a local painter who pursued Art & Design in UiTM, Shah Alam. 2 days ago, he posted on his Facebook account a mural which consists of several Malaysian leaders. Among them, there are KDYMM, Seri Paduka Baginda YDP Agong, Datuk Dr Noor Hisham, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri as well as Datuk Dr. Haji Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri.
The very first photo of this mural in progress was posted back in March and possibly took 3 months (or more) to complete. The mural is definitely a work of blood, sweat, and tears as the painting strokes for the murals are delicate and realistically potray our leaders. If you can’t wait to view this magnificent artwork, it’s at Taman Cahaya Alam Seksyen U12, Shah Alam. To be specific, you can find it on the wall right behind Restoran Isa Maju.
Suhaimi captioned his mural artwork with a simple spot-on line, “Leaders become great, not because of their power, but because of their ability to empower others”. Dedicated to our national heroes, this artwork is to show thanks to the leaders who have calmly steered the nation during difficult times.
