All Malaysians That Travel Locally Can Get Tax Relief & Digital Vouchers

As part of the 2020 Economic Stimulus Package, all Malaysians will be eligible to receive incentives when you travel locally. Not only will you receive RM100 worth of digital vouchers per person, you will also be getting a personal income tax relief of up to RM1,000! You heard that right, this is not a drill.

The RM100 digital vouchers can be used for domestic flight, rails and hotel accommodations. Meanwhile, Malaysians can claim up the personal tax relief when you spend on domestic tourism. That just basically means paying less but travelling more!

According to MalayMail, the news was just announced by Interim Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir in trying to relieve the impact that the Covid-19 virus outbreak had on the local tourism industry. Malaysians can rejoice now that local fares are cheaper but still remember to take precautionary steps in prevention.
