BREAKING: ‘Recovery’ MCO To Start On 10 June Till 31 August In Malaysia

This just in – Malaysia will officially enter the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) or known as Perintah Kawalan Pengerakan Pemulihan starting from 10 June. It will go on for the next three months till 31 August 2020 nationwide.

Recovery MCO Will Take Place In Malaysia Starting 10 June Till 31 August

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has just made the announcement that with the effectiveness of the MCO and CMCO in controlling the COVID-19 outbreak in the country. In this stage, a lot businesses will finally start to open up and the nation will see a lot more relaxations beginning next Wednesday.

The highlights of the speech consists of a less controlled movement amongst the rakyat. One of it is being able to have interstate travels now. This means that domestic travels are also allowed effectively.

Besides that, schools will still remain closed but to be opened in phases for the next few months. On par to that, sports competition with contact sports are still not allowed, but non-contact sports such as bowling and badminton are permitted.

Entertainment outlets such as pubs, nightclubs, karaoke and etc are still not allowed. Any form of activity that involves mass gatherings are strictly prohibited.

Just earlier today, Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob mentioned that there will be no more 14-day compulsory stay at quarantine centres for Malaysians returning from abroad starting 10 June as well. Those returning will only have to be quarantined at home for 14 days.

It was also announced by senior minister that hair salons, beauty salons and nail parlours will proceed to start operating on 10 June under strict SOPs. Meanwhile, night markets and morning markets will start operating on 15 June.

A Sigh Of Relief While Still Maintaining Cautious At All Times

Even with the relaxed MCO now, we’re still advised to continuously remain cautious and stay safe at all time. Businesses are advised to constantly remain strict SOPs while individuals will have to remain strict hygiene practices like hand-washing and wearing masks. Stay strong Malaysians, we will overcome this!
