Young Brothers Selling Homemade Soup This FMCO To Make A Living
If you have followed the news recently, you may have seen or heard of these two youngsters who manages and sells homemade soup all by themselves. A Facebook post by Lucas Ham recently went viral as he shared their struggles in the food business, especially with tough times as such.
Based on the post, the older brother Michael is only 21 years old but has started working since he was 17. Meanwhile, his younger who has been helping him nowadays is only 13 years old. Their schedule is as follows – they start prepping the ingredients and soup at 9PM at night. At 6:30AM, they’ll prepare to open their stall at the kopitiam. Then, they’ll start selling their homemade soups at 8AM till nighttime.
Because of their limited equipments and budget, they can only make maximum 40 portions of soup per day. They specialise in steam herbal soup, a Chinese delicacy that’s healthy with loads of herbs and ingredients. You can also find glutinous rice dumplings here as the Dragon Boat Festival is almost here. And yes, all of them are handmade by Michael himself!
