Fairy Tale Rabbit Themed High-Tea & Freshly Baked French Pastries In KL

Foodies! We believe that there are days where you just want to sit back, relax, and enjoy sipping on your favourite coffee as you munch on some delicious treats. A cosy and quiet cafe away from the hustle and bustle is what you are looking for. Surprisingly, we discovered a few perfect spots located conveniently in a mall! Read on to check out these great spots in LaLaport BBCC.

Best Spots To Unwind & Indulge In Good Bakes In LaLaport 

1. Daun Bakehouse

It’s hard to miss this cosy little cafe that sits along the happening Gourmet Street at LaLaport. Just like its name ‘Daun’, Daun Bakehouse carries a leafly green vibe that will make you loosen up and enjoy a calm and peaceful time there.

As the sister cafe of the famous cafe, Pokok KL, this extension specialises in french pastries and desserts!

They look good, smell great, and just perfect to pair with an aromatic coffee or tea! What we definitely recommend is getting their Pastry Box which comes in four or six pieces of their lovely pastries.

The 4-piece Pastry Box is inclusive of a French Butter, Pain Au Choco, and another two pastries of your choice!

2. Mc.Qanteens Tearoom

It’s tea time! Transport yourself to a magical teahouse at Mc. Qanteens Tea Room for a delightful tea time with your loved ones. Mc.Qanteen Tea Room was initially a retail brand for teas including fruit tea and traditional tea. You know you can count on them for a pleasant tea tasting experience!

Upon entry, you will be greeted with a family of rabbits all over the cafe that will surely put you in a good mood.

The decoration makes this place look like a castle you see in fairytales! What we had here is a high-tea set that comes with 10 varieties of yummy bites for sharing.

From top to bottom, this high-tea set comes with a range of sweet and savoury bites including tarts, yoghurt parfait, mochi balls, mini burgers and more. Pairing these treats with their Germany-imported Promecran Punch Fruit Tea which has a hint of sourness is soothing to the appetite. 

While you are there, fill your hungry tummy with their wide range of dishes too! Here are some of what we tried:

Seafood Aglio Olio

The Seafood Aglio Olio is one of our favourites. Served with fresh prawns, mussels and squid, it’s a spicy and savoury pasta with familiar local flavour profile.

And many more for you to discover when you visit! We love how all dishes come in huge and generous portions here. 

Overall, this teahouse is a great escape from the busy crowd outside which is a nice hangout spot for you and your loved ones.
